NUB will invest Tk. 20 crore for the Startup Business
Northern University Bangladesh is bringing special opportunities for the youth entrepreneurs of Bangladesh. The Northern Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (NIEC) has been inaugurated at Northern University with the aim to create world-class entrepreneurs from Bangladesh.
The university has organized for a seed funding of Tk. 20 crores for investment over the next two years. Any Bangladeshi student can apply for this fund and gain mentoring support.
Recently, Professor Dr. Abu Yousuf Md. Abdullah, Honorable Chairman, Northern University Bangladesh Trust and Vice Chancellor of Northern University of Business and Technology Khulna inaugurated the virtual center at the permanent campus. Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain, Vice Chancellor of Northern University Bangladesh delivered the welcome speech.
Mr. Nayan Parekh, a member of the Board of Governance of Karnavati University in India and a Faculty member at IIM Ahmedabad, Prof. Dr. Kazi Shahadat Kabir, Registrar NUB, Mr. Raihan-ul-Masood, Head of CSE Department, Mr. Mustafa Hasan, Director of Northern Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center and Mr. Monwarul Islam Rebel, Additional Director of Student Affairs and Digital Marketing also were present at the inaugural function.
Professor Dr. Abu Yusuf Md. Abdullah said Northern University Bangladesh wants to promote the good ideas of youth worldwide. The youth and students of the country will also get investment and mentoring support from us for their innovative ideas. This way, Bangladesh will move forward as a developed nation under the leadership of the youth.
Mr. Nayan Parekh said we have to extend all possible cooperation and connectivity to multinational companies in India to support the Northern Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center.
Samsung Korea's research engineer and American MIT Media Lab Fellow Mustafa Hassan is serving as the founding director of the Northern Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center.
