You are most welcome to use the services and support offered by the Information Technology Department of Northern University Bangladesh (NUB). Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) is a government-approved private university functioning since 2002. It has been sponsored and founded by International Business Agriculture & Technology (IBAT) Trust.
NUB is offering undergraduate programs such as: BBA, CSE, ECE, EEE, Textile Engineering, B. Pharm, BA in ELL, LLB and Postgraduate programs as: MBA, MBM, MBA in Entrepreneurship development, LLM, MAE, MAELT, MPH and MA in Governance Studies.
About IT Department
The NUB Information Technology Department collectively forms major academic computer labs within the top private university in Bangladesh. We provide expanding IT related services and support to the students, faculty as well as staff members of NUB.
NUB believes in quality education and for ensuring quality education it is a prerequisite condition to have an adequate number of high configuration computers at the university labs. Keeping these in mind NUB is committed to provide better computer lab facilities to the students and faculty members. Therefore, NUB has a good number (around 1000 high configuration of brand and non-brand) of workstations, modern computer labs (around 17), high configuration servers and trained IT staffs.

Mission : To provide effective Information Technology services which will enhance teaching, research, student learning, and administrative activities.
Vision : Digitalize all services at the university.
Objectives
i) To provide an excellent, accessible, reliable and secure Information Technology infrastructure, facilities and services.
ii) To develop, implement and improve the integration of Information Technology systems and tools that will further enhance productivity and efficiency.
iii) To provide consultation and advice in the formulation of a robust Information Technology policy and guidelines for implementation.
iv) To provide information technology infrastructure that meets the needs of the university to communicateboth internally and externally and to connect with informational resources effectively, efficiently,ethically and securely.
v) To enhance university research, teaching and learning by providing information resources, theapplication of technology, and the pursuit of progressive, collaborative initiatives driven by the strategicplans of the university.
vi) To improve university administration through effective information and technology management.
vii) To provide support services that meet the needs of students, faculty, staff and the broader university communities.
vii) To impart training facilities/ workshops/ seminars/conferences to be arranged by the university orsome other corporate bodies.
vii) To hold different local and international competitions in IT field.

Lab Hours
The labs of all campuses in Dhaka remain open from 09:00AM to 09:00PM on week days except Fridays and holidays. Labs of other campuses, including Rajshahi and Khulna also usually remain open from 9:00AM to 6:00PM.
Rules and Regulations for computer lab users
i) Students must present a valid ID card before entering the computer lab.
ii) Playing of any games in the lab is strictly prohibited.
iii) Before leaving the lab, users must close all programs positively and keep the desktop blank.
iv) Students are strictly prohibited from modifying or deleting any important files and install any software.
v) Based on the prime priority, users may be requested by the In-Charge, IT Division to leave the workstationany time and the compliance is a must.
vi) Eating and drinking inside the computer labs is strictly prohibited both for the students and for thefaculty members. However, these may be done in some specific place outside the labs.
vii) Students are not allowed to carry any bag inside the lab, but for safe custody they must follow theexisting rules for keeping the bags/folders.
vii) Timing of labs is 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM except Friday and holidays
vii) Students are strictly prohibited from downloading, viewing or distributing any offensive materials (forexample pornography, profane language, etc.)
viii) Internet facility is strictly for educational purposes only.
ix) Silence must be maintained in the labs at all cost.
x) The labs must be kept clean and tidy at all times.
xi) If any problem arises, please bring the same to the notice of IT Officer/IT In-Charge.
