The Department of Law offers a 1/2-year postgraduate degree on 'Master of Laws (LLM)'. To become a graduate in this field one has to complete 33/63 credits. The LLM program is designed to expand the knowledge of law graduates and practitioners on areas of selective subjects and to provide the opportunity to take advance course in specialized areas of the law. LLM students are welcome to make selections from the large number of courses represented in the curriculum.
Vision
The program aims to provide broad education in law and academic disciplines. It aims to develop in students a wide appreciation of relevant subjects and of their importance to the rigorous academic challenges of current law, and to train the student to be excellent law practitioners. The student would be engaged in private practice, or work for government or law agencies, multinational companies and international organizations. Their training in the Program gives them the required preparation to solve the challenging problems they encounter in practice.
The program is focused on developing capabilities to identify and create new opportunities and integrates theoretical knowledge with the capacity to apply such knowledge in practice and innovation.
There are formal final examinations in most subjects and all works carried out in the program are considered in the overall assessment. A satisfactory record of class work will also be required at each stage.
